The 2011 OPEN Event Brand project was selected as a winner in the 58th Type Director’s Club Annual Communication Design Competition, and will receive a “Certificate of Typographic Excellence”. Our project will be included in the Annual of the Type Directors Club, Typography 33, and will also be shown at the 58th Awards Exhibition in New York City. Of the nearly 1800 entries, from 35 countries, only 223 were selected. Winners will also be included in the exhibitions touring cities in the United States, Canada, England, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Russia, Spain and Vietnam.
The studio is excited that two projects have been selected for the 12th Biennial AIGA DC 50. The projects are the 100 Greatest TV Spots poster and the Kitchen Redux Branding, ID, and Tea Towel Designs. We are thrilled that two of our projects were selected from over 480 submissions. The 12th Biennial AIGA DC 50 is a juried exhibition that showcases 50 of the strongest examples of design produced in the DC area during the past two years. The 12th Biennial AIGA DC 50 will showcase the winners on April 25, 2012 in an exhibition and reception at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.

Wedding card design for designer friends Robert and Rick. Word play with the letters R & R, which stand for Robert & Rick, relationships & romance, and numerous R & R word combinations relevant to relationships, romance, and the commitment of marriage. Die cut letter R’s represent the theme.
The studio is excited to have designed the 2011 brand for the Contemporary American Theater Festival. Project description: Overall brand for the 2011 Contemporary American Theater Festival’s repertory of five new American plays. The brand is visceral in-your-face attitude with a stripped down aesthetic. The brand represents the Contemporary American Theater Festival’s culture and mission of developing provocative material. Brand implemented to festival guide; digital wallpapers for computers, iPADs, and iPhones; coasters; invitations; season cards; greeting cards; print materials; advertisements; web site; blog; t-shirts; and fundraising events.
